1. Reservations

All reservations are subject to availability and are not considered confirmed until the required 30% deposit has been received.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information regarding the event date, location, number of guests, dietary requirements, and any special requests.

2. Deposit and Payment

A 30% deposit is required to secure and confirm your reservation.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than the day of the event unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Failure to submit the required deposit within the agreed timeframe may result in the cancellation of the reservation request.

3. Cancellation Policy

Clients may request to cancel their reservation at any time by contacting Mal País Chef Nativo.

• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled event are not eligible for a refund.

• If ingredients, supplies, or products have already been purchased specifically for the event, the 30% deposit is non-refundable, regardless of when the cancellation is made.

• If no purchases have been made and the cancellation is received more than 48 hours before the event, Mal País Chef Nativo may, at its sole discretion, issue a partial or full refund of the deposit.

4. Reservation Changes

Requests to modify the event date, guest count, menu, or other reservation details should be submitted as early as possible.

Changes requested shortly before the event may not be accommodated and may result in additional charges.

5. Dietary Restrictions and Allergies

Clients are responsible for informing Mal País Chef Nativo of any allergies, food intolerances, dietary restrictions, or special dietary requirements before the event.

While every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate these needs, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.

6. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to:

• Provide safe and reasonable access to the event location.

• Ensure suitable working conditions for food preparation and service when required.

• Provide accurate event information and communicate any changes in a timely manner.

 

7. Force Majeure

Mal País Chef Nativo shall not be held liable for delays, cancellations, or failure to perform services resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather conditions, government restrictions, transportation disruptions, or other emergencies.

8. Photography and Marketing

Photographs and videos of food, event setups, and culinary experiences may be taken and used for promotional, marketing, and portfolio purposes.

If the client does not wish photographs or videos to be used, they must notify Mal País Chef Nativo in writing prior to the event.

9. Limitation of Liability

Mal País Chef Nativo's liability is limited to the amount paid by the client for the contracted services.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of our services or participation in the event.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, photographs, logos, branding, graphics, menus, and other materials, is the property of Mal País Chef Nativo unless otherwise stated.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission.

 

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica.

Any disputes arising from these Terms & Conditions or the services provided by Mal País Chef Nativo shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Costa Rica.

 

12. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting a reservation request, paying the required deposit, or contracting any service with Mal País Chef Nativo, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
